  Mr. Tim Lafferty
Managing Director
Tim Lafferty is the managing director of Global Corporate Venturing, the only news and data service exclusively for and about large companies that take minority equity stakes in entrepreneurial businesses. Since early 2010 the company has tracked over 3000 investment rounds involving corporates and has published thousands of articles on its website and in its monthly magazine. Tim has spent over 20 years in the media business. Prior to Global Corporate Venturing he was Head of Product Sales and Marketing at Dow Jones in Europe, overseeing brands including The Wall Street Journal Europe, Private Equity News and Financial News. Previously he worked for other large publishers including Readers' Digest and McGraw-Hill (BusinessWeek magazine).

Global Corporate Venturing is a monthly publication for the in-house venture capital team at large companies that take minority stakes in smaller, more nascent businesses. This is the first dedicated news, analysis and comment title specifically for corporate venturing and will complement the existing venture capital titles and other financial services publications. The PDF magazine will be sent at the start of each month, with a major analysis on a different economic sector each month: healthcare, IT, clean technology, utilities, media, industrials, consumer, financials, services and transport. The magazine will also provide a round-up of the previous months deal activity involving corporate venturing units across all sectors and regions, as well as other news relevant to the industry and the best comments from the editor and outside experts. There is also a website regularly updated for more topical news on the same subject.
